This role provides a unique opportunity to learn and contribute to the growth of our digital presence.
Position Overview:
The Content Writing and SEO Optimization Intern will help in creating and optimizing content for our website, improving its visibility on search engines, and enhancing our social media content. You will work closely with the marketing and web development teams to execute strategies that drive traffic and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* SEO Optimization:
* Optimize website content and product listings using SEO best practices to enhance visibility and ranking.
* Conduct keyword research and implement meta tags, descriptions, and SEO-friendly copy across the website.
* Apply SEO strategies for different eCommerce platforms to increase traffic and conversions.
* Content Creation:
* Write compelling, SEO-optimized blog posts for the website.
* Create engaging content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
* Ensure consistency in brand tone and style across all content.
* Website Management:
* Assist with uploading and optimizing images for the website.
* Help maintain and update website content using WordPress or other CMS platforms.
* Perform basic coding (HTML, CSS) and troubleshooting to improve site functionality.
* Multitasking & Pressure Management:
* Handle multiple tasks including content creation, SEO, and web management while meeting deadlines.
* Manage workloads efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization strategies.
* Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
* Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
* Basic knowledge of coding (HTML, CSS) is a plus.
* Experience with social media content creation.
* Ability to upload and optimize images for the website.
* Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
Education:
* Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
