Position: Sales & Marketing Executive

Location: Kolkata

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales & Marketing Executive with a strong background in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the FMCG market, established connections with retailers and distributors, and a proven ability to drive business growth. Effective communication and negotiation skills, as well as industrial-specific knowledge, are critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Retailer & Distributor Management: Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key retailers, distributors, and wholesalers to maximize product distribution and visibility.

2. Market Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies tailored to the FMCG sector.

3. Product Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to craft compelling marketing campaigns that align with consumer needs and industry trends.

4. Sales Target Achievement: Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets through effective strategy execution.

5. Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify business opportunities and risks.

6. Trade Marketing: Execute instore promotional activities and campaigns to increase product visibility and drive sales.

7. New Account Development: Identify and onboard new retail accounts and distribution partners.

8. Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, monitor performance, and prepare reports for senior management.

9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, supply chain, and product development to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Requirements:

FMCG Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing within the FMCG sector.

Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the FMCG landscape, including products, distribution channels, and market trends.

Retail & Distributor Network: Strong existing relationships with retailers, distributors, and wholesalers in the FMCG space.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Marketing Acumen: Proven experience in crafting and executing effective marketing campaigns.

Results Driven: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess market conditions, sales data, and make informed decisions.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast paced and ever-evolving industry.

Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience with trade marketing and instore promotions.

Knowledge of digital marketing tools and trends in the FMCG industry.
