* Supplier Sourcing and Selection:
* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
* Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and supplier capabilities.
* Develop and maintain a list of preferred suppliers and vendors.
* Negotiation and Contract Management:
* Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible price and quality.
* Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements.
* Ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
* Order Management:
* Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
* Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Resolve any issues related to order fulfillment, including delays or discrepancies.
* Vendor Management:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
* Evaluate supplier performance regularly and provide feedback for improvement.
* Address and resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely manner.
* Cost Management:
* Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
* Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
* Compliance and Documentation:
* Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation.
* Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analyses and supplier performance.
* Collaboration and Coordination:
* Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
* Coordinate with logistics and inventory management teams to ensure seamless delivery and storage of goods.
* Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.
Source and negotiate with potential suppliers, assess their capabilities and evaluate their suitability based on predefined criteria.
Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations and issue resolution.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly.
Analyse inventory levels, demand forecasts and consumption patterns to optimise stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements.
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance metrics and cost savings to higher management.
Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement and report on sourcing effectiveness.
