The Manager of SEO will be the strategic force driving Sourcedesk Globals organic search strategy. This role will direct, manage and be accountable for defining and executing comprehensive SEO in support of Sourcedesk Globals marketing goals. Working alongside key leaders and leading a team of SEO specialists, the Manager of SEO will work to improve organic search rankings, referral and organic traffic, revenue and lead generation.
### Accountabilities:
Accountable for defining strategy and executing comprehensive SEO across several websites and in support of company goals
Collaborate with team members in all departments of SEO, Content, Web Design & Development teams to ensure that sites and content are built/optimized utilizing current best practices for site architecture, content, social and linking strategies
Manage/oversee technical website audits, information architecture optimization, content gap analysis and external and internal linking analysis as they relate to organic optimization
Direct content development to support SEO authority and traffic improvement by directly influencing the content calendar, content contributors and content voice/tone
Drive innovation, evangelize, educate both within your team and more importantly across the organization
Develop testing and optimization processes to continually improve efficiencies, program performance and competitive advantages
Build, lead and mentor a team of SEO Managers & Specialists who ultimately are perceived as an SEO centre of excellence across the Enterprise
Create customized reports and present findings to the Senior and Executive Level Management
Build cross-functional relationships by providing SEO insights and strategic recommendations that can have a profound impact on the organization
Develop a process to educate writers, content managers, web developers, business stakeholders and others on SEO best practices and content optimization
Stay current with industry developments and participate in the SEO and social content communities
### Required:
Bachelors (or equivalent experience) degree
10+ years of experience specifically SEO Experience at large agency or in a corporate environment, building & leading a team of SEO
Proven strategic and tactical experience in all aspects of SEO including site architecture, content, linking, content development and social strategies
Leadership skills; experience managing/mentoring a team of SEO professionals of varying levels of expertise is required
Executive level communication and presentation skills
Experience managing SEO for multiple and large web properties
Experience in SEO as it relates to site architecture, content marketing, linking and social media strategies
Superior knowledge of search engine criteria/algorithms, best practices, trends and industry developments
Experience with using search engine ranking, traffic and analysis software
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; must have a data-driven decision-making orientation
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and resources in a deadline-driven environment
Must be passionate about digital and interactive marketing strategies and integrated marketing
Must be motivated, a self-starter, and a perpetual learner
Proficient in web analytics applications (ex: Omniture, Google Analytics) and Webmaster tools
